Mark sent this bunch of demos to me in 2005, just as I'd moved to Hobart, with an idea of perhaps doing some long-distance collaboration. When I rediscovered these tracks some 15 years later, I was taken by the magnificent, surreal, pop weirdness of the aesthetic, and decided that they stand alone as an important record of where MV was, there and then.
